REC3885317 is Recmar's new 12V, 1.7kW heavy-duty marine starter motor for the catalogue family led by MerCruiser OEM 50-864340A2 and Volvo Penta 3860764. RECMAR associates this exact row with V6/V8 and GM 454 / 7.4-litre applications.
It has an 11-tooth pinion, a nominal 14-inch flywheel application and diagonal two-bolt mounting. It is a separate product from REC50-863007A1, with a different rated output, solenoid reference and primary OEM mapping.
Is this the correct starter?
Choose REC3885317 when all of the following agree with the starter or parts information for your engine:
- The specified Recmar part number is REC3885317.
- The specified OEM number is MerCruiser 50-864340A2 or Volvo Penta 3860764.
- The application requires the 12V, 1.7kW heavy-duty version.
- The application is within the RECMAR GM 454 / 7.4-litre catalogue family.
