Recmar REC129473-18000 is a new aftermarket MY34 marine turbocharger for selected Yanmar 4JH and 4JH2 diesel engines. It replaces Yanmar reference 129473-18000 and cross-references the IHI MY34 / RHB52HW turbo family.

Fitment first: this is a serial-sensitive application. Match the complete engine model, engine serial number and the number on the existing turbocharger before ordering. It must not be selected for a 4JH2-TE or 4JH2-HTE simply because the engine belongs to the 4JH2 family.

Installation and ordering checks

• Match Yanmar 129473-18000 or the MY34 / RHB52HW identification on the existing turbo.
• Inspect the mixing elbow for carbon restriction, internal corrosion or water-side failure.
• Check and clean the turbocharger oil-feed and oil-return systems.
• Renew the engine oil, oil filter and all disturbed gaskets.
• Prime the turbocharger with clean engine oil before initial start-up.
• Correct the cause of the original turbo failure before fitting the replacement.

Do not order it for a 4JH2-TE from the model name alone. Yanmar identifies different turbo assemblies for the TE, HTE, DTE and UTE variants. This product requires a 129473-18000 / MY34 / RHB52HW match.

Yanmar changed components during production. The serial boundaries shown above help separate the correct MY34 application from other 4JH and 4JH2 turbochargers.
