This Recmar starter motor is designed as a replacement for select Yamaha (and Parsun equivalent) 2-stroke 75–90HP outboards that use the Yamaha starter motor reference 688-81800-12. It is a 12V starter with counter-clockwise (CCW) rotation and a 9-tooth pinion (Bendix) drive.

Before ordering: confirm your engine model code and the part number on the starter currently fitted. Fitment can vary by year/market and engine variant—matching by OEM/reference number is the safest method.
