Product Specifications and Features

RECMAR replacement sealing washer for the gearcase oil drain and vent screws used on selected Mercury and Mariner outboards and MerCruiser drives. It creates a secure seal around the screw to help prevent gear-lubricant leakage and water entering the lower unit.

This is not an engine oil seal. On a two-stroke outboard, these washers seal the lower-unit gearbox lubricant. Two washers are required during a complete gear-oil change: one for the lower drain/fill screw and one for the upper vent screw. Replace both washers whenever the screws are removed.
