This 12V starter motor is a Recmar replacement for Mercury/Mariner V6 DFI/OptiMax outboards that use OEM starter number 50-898265008 (also found under the earlier 50-833153 family of part numbers). With a 9-tooth pinion and CCW rotation, it is intended to restore dependable cranking when the correct match is confirmed.
