Designed as a direct replacement for Yanmar 119593-35400 (and superseded 119593-35400-12), it serves as the secondary / bypass oil filter on a wide range of Yanmar 6LY six cylinder marine engines, including 6LYUTE, 6LY2STE(P), 6LY2A-STP and 6LY3-ETP / STP / UTP models.

Working alongside the main full flow oil filter, the bypass element routes a portion of the oil through a finer media to remove very small particles, soot and sludge that standard filtration can miss. This helps keep the lubrication system cleaner, supports long service intervals and protects high value Yanmar 6LY engines used on fast cruisers, sportfishing boats and commercial craft.

The filter matches the original Yanmar specification, with an approximate 93 mm canister diameter, 170 mm height, 72 mm seal diameter and 1"-16 UNF thread, ensuring correct sealing, flow and bypass performance.
