Pay attention to mount ears and adjuster position

Small differences in ear spacing, width, or adjuster location can turn a simple job into a bracket fight. Before ordering, compare the mount points on your existing alternator to the replacement, and check pulley offset so the belt runs true. This is especially important if a previous owner has changed the alternator at some point.

Wiring and grounds are part of alternator fitment

Charging performance is only as good as the connections. Confirm the plug or terminal style, then inspect the charge cable, ground strap, and battery terminals for corrosion or looseness. If your system uses a warning lamp or excitation wire, confirm it is present and connected. These checks reduce undercharging complaints and help the alternator run cooler under load.
