Price Match Policy

Found the same product cheaper elsewhere? At TMP Global, we're committed to offering competitive prices across our range of marine parts and boating supplies.

If you find an identical product available for less from another UK retailer, we'll match their total delivered price, provided the offer meets the conditions outlined below.

We also welcome enquiries about comparable products from different manufacturers. Even where a guaranteed price match doesn't apply, we're always happy to see what we can offer.

 

1. What Qualifies for a Price Match?

To qualify for our price match guarantee, the following conditions must be met:

  • Identical product: The product must be exactly the same as the one listed on TMP Global, including the manufacturer, brand, part number, specification and quantity. Products that are compatible or interchangeable but made by different manufacturers are not considered identical.
  • UK retailer: The competing price must be offered by a genuine UK-based retailer. This includes independent businesses, online shops, physical chandleries and verified UK business sellers operating through marketplaces such as Amazon or eBay.
  • Product availability: The competitor must have the product in stock or genuinely available to order, with a reasonable delivery estimate. Products that are unavailable or cannot currently be ordered do not qualify.
  • Condition: Both products must be brand-new and unused, with equivalent manufacturer's warranty cover where applicable.
  • Delivery: The competitor must offer delivery to the customer's UK address. Collection-only offers may be considered individually but are not covered by the guarantee.
  • Verifiable price: The competitor's offer must be genuine, current and independently verifiable by TMP Global.

 

2. How We Compare Prices

We compare the total delivered price, rather than the advertised product price alone.

This includes the product price, VAT where applicable, standard delivery charges and any other unavoidable charges associated with purchasing the item.

Both prices will be compared using the same product quantity and UK delivery postcode.

For example, if a competitor advertises an item at a lower price but charges more for delivery, we'll take those delivery costs into account when comparing the final amount payable.

Where the competitor's qualifying total delivered price is lower than ours, we'll match that price. We do not guarantee to beat it.

 

3. Promotional Prices and Exclusions

We're happy to match genuine, publicly advertised sale prices from qualifying retailers, provided the product and offer meet the conditions of this policy.

However, the following are excluded from guaranteed price matching:

  • Clearance, liquidation, closing-down and stock disposal sales.
  • Flash sales, short-term promotional events and limited-time special offers.
  • Multi-buy promotions, product bundles, buy-one-get-one-free offers and similar deals.
  • Private, personalised, membership-only or trade-only discounts and voucher codes.
  • Auction listings, private sellers and offers from retailers whose details cannot be verified.
  • Used, refurbished, reconditioned, damaged, ex-display or open-box products.
  • Obvious pricing errors or incorrectly advertised prices.
  • Products that are unavailable to order or cannot be delivered to the customer's UK address.

Although these offers are excluded from our guarantee, you're still welcome to contact us. We can consider alternative offers individually where appropriate.

 

4. Comparable Products and Alternative Manufacturers

We understand that marine parts are often available from several manufacturers, with different brands offering products for the same application.

For example, a RECMAR replacement part may perform the same function as an equivalent part manufactured by Osculati, Volvo Penta or another supplier.

Because these products are not identical, they aren't covered by our guaranteed price matching.

However, if you've found a comparable product at a lower price, please get in touch. We'll be happy to review the alternatives and see whether we can offer a more competitive price.

 

5. Trade Customers, Bulk Orders and Special Requests

Our guaranteed price matching applies to normal retail purchases.

We also welcome price match enquiries from trade customers, including marine engineers, boatyards, chandleries and other businesses. Trade requests and competing trade quotations will be reviewed individually, and a price match cannot be guaranteed.

There is no fixed quantity limit for normal retail orders. However, unusually large quantities and bulk purchases may require a separate quotation and are not automatically covered by the guarantee.

If you're looking for a product that isn't currently listed on our website, we may still be able to source it for you. Send us the product details and competing price, and we'll look into what's possible.

 

6. How to Request a Price Match

Price match requests must be submitted and approved before placing your order.

You can contact us by email or WhatsApp using the links below:

When contacting us, please provide:

  • The product you wish to purchase from TMP Global.
  • A direct link to the competitor's product listing or suitable evidence of their advertised price, such as a dated written quotation.
  • The quantity you require.
  • Your UK delivery postcode so we can compare delivery charges accurately.

We may request further information or contact the competing retailer to verify the product, price, availability and delivery arrangements.

Once we've verified a qualifying offer, we'll confirm the matched price and explain how to complete your purchase.

 

7. Price Match Approval and Validity

Approved price matches remain valid for 48 hours from the time we confirm them, provided the agreed product and quantity remain available to order from TMP Global.

After this period, a new request will be required.

Price matching is only available before purchase. We do not offer retrospective price matching or refunds of the price difference on orders that have already been placed.

An approved price match cannot be combined with other TMP Global discount codes, promotional offers or additional price reductions.


8. Further Information

We reserve the right to verify the information supplied with any price match request and to decline requests that do not meet the conditions of this policy.

Any changes to this policy will apply to future requests and will not affect price matches already approved within their stated validity period.

This policy does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
