This alternator conversion kit is designed for MerCruiser 470 (3.7L) and 224 (3.7L) stern drive applications that originally used a stator-type charging system. Supplied under Recmar reference REC18-5953, it’s intended to convert to a conventional alternator-style charging setup when the correct match is confirmed.

Before ordering: fitment can vary by engine version/serial number and existing charging-system configuration. Always match by engine details and reference numbers on your current setup.
