RECMAR Aluminium Flat Plate Anode for Mercury/Mariner Outboards – REC76214Q5AL

RECMAR flat aluminium sacrificial anode for the anti-ventilation plate on compatible Mercury and Mariner outboards. It helps protect the lower-unit gearcase from galvanic corrosion in fresh, brackish and saltwater.

This flat plate fits inside the trim-tab anode cavity above the propeller. It is used instead of a projecting trim-tab anode, providing additional clearance for high-rake or large-diameter propellers. Because it is a flat design, it does not provide the steering-torque adjustment offered by an angled trim-tab anode.

Inspect the anode regularly and replace it when substantially eroded or heavily pitted. Never paint the anode or its mounting contact surfaces.
